About Us

Canada’s Bamboo World began in Canada, in 1998.  After several years of acquiring a vast collection of extremely rare forms of bamboo plants, we were left with a choice; either stop the obsession with these plants, and trim down the collection, which was unthinkable, or grow a business out of it.

We are proud to say that we are the original importer, and grower of many of the rare bamboo plants seen in Canadian Zoos, City Parks, Botanical Gardens, and Universities throughout the Country.

Our quest for the most beautiful, and rare forms of bamboo, has been a long one, and would not have been possible without the generous help and support of many different people in the bamboo industry.

Over the years as our bamboo groves have matured, we have added bamboo materials, such as bamboo stakes, canes, poles, and fencing, to our plant offerings. We wholesale, retail, and distribute, our bamboo across Canada.

All of us at Canada's Bamboo World know the future is bright for bamboo, as more and more people are discovering its amazing properties every day. If you would like to see mature bamboo groves in Canada, we invite you to come and visit us or grow your own.
